Brinkman Construction Completes New Winery Taproom for Odell Brewing

6/10/2021

Brinkman Construction has completed a new taproom to support Odell Brewing Co.’s latest venture into winemaking.  The OBC Wine Project winery and tasting room recently opened to the public. Located at 824 East Lincoln Avenue, it sits adjacent to Odell’s Fort Collins brewery.

Odell began their wine operations in the summer of 2020.  Their vision of converting a 2,000-square-foot storage space on their existing property into a separate facility for wine production and tasting was temporarily put on hold with the spark of the COVID-19 pandemic.  In late 2020, the project reignited with Odell, Brinkman Construction and RB+B Architects moving quickly to progress construction forward.

The urban winery houses a production area with 13 fermenters and aging tanks, oak barrels and a dedicated canning line.  Patrons enjoy an inside taproom as well as pet-friendly outdoor patio.

“Being able to be a part of a project for a client like Odell represents a true community partnership for us. We experience the positive impact they have on our community and the entrepreneurial spirit they bring to their business,” said Jim Ciesla, President & CEO of Brinkman Construction.  “After previously working with them on an expansion of their brewery operations, we were excited to play a part in bringing their latest winemaking venture to life.”

Both Odell and Brinkman Construction are 100% employee owned companies focused on engaged cultures where employees think like owners, because they are owners.  Both are headquartered in Fort Collins, but now with locations in Denver.
