From assisting with the coordination of site logistics and activity sequencing to preparing and filing documentation related to project activity, including as-builts, daily logs, safety inspections, JHAs, RFIs, testing reports and status updates, Field Engineers play an instrumental role in the success of Brinkman Construction’s projects. Providing critical jobsite support to project teams, Field Engineers are exemplars and promoters of a Zero Accident Safety Culture, and have broad responsibility for ensuring the general cleanliness and orderliness of jobsites and assisting with the QA/QC program.
This is a highly collaborative role in a relationship-driven organization where Field Engineers frequently coordinate with and/or provide direction to laborers, carpenters, subcontractors and trade partners, as well as interact with field management staff, office management staff, senior leadership and Brinkman Construction’s clientele, so the ideal candidate will be a confident, capable and adaptable communicator.
As a ‘Point of Entry’ position for graduates of Construction Management and/or Engineering degree programs, Field Engineers have ample opportunity to take advantage of training and development programs and stretch assignments designed to expand their knowledge, skills and abilities as construction professionals, and to pursue professional certifications including OSHA 30, SWMP and First Aid/CPR.
